Nora grew up in South America. After completing her Bachelors Degree in Architecture she started working at the UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela) in the Urban Planning Department while attending Urban Design grad school. Having Italian ancestry she jumped at an opportunity to move to Europe, which included a five months internship in Calvet’s Urban-Design Studio in Barcelona and three years in Piuarch Architecture Studio in Milano plus other studios after that. After completing a Masters Degree in Urban Planning in Developing Countries in IUAV University of Venice (Italy) she joined post-tsunami-rebuilding efforts in South East Asia first with an Italian NGO followed by projects with French NGO Medicines du Monde and finally UNICEF in Indonesia in what would become her most fulfilling professional experience spanning a total of 5 years. Working on social projects while bridging her architectural background with her social commitment added a sense of purpose to her work. Remote bush living in unspoiled Sumatran islands as well as conflict battered Sri Lankan towns was suitable before family life. Adding kids to the equation allowed her to explore other ways to express and she now works with mediums such as watercolor and graphic design while running her own company “Aqua & Ink”. She currently lives with her family in Los Angeles, California.
